SOCIAL MEETINGS. Update from the chair.
MAY -
May's social meeting falls on Thursday 16th when a representative of Welsh Water's Cartref Team will be enlightening us about lowering water consumption, talking about a free leaky loo service and other efficiency tips.  We look forward to seeing you at 2.00 p.m. after which of course there will be tea/coffee and cake whilst you take the opportunity to socialise with other members.
APRIL - Members who supported April's social meeting, which was on the basis of a rather different format, including a play, singing, tea and cakes served cafe style, were rewarded by a good afternoon's entertainment. Many thanks to everyone who took part and/or contributed in any way.

ALL CHANGE - SUMMER FETE
Due to other potential commitments, the Summer Fete was originally scheduled for August - however we are now able to revert to our normal month and this will now take place at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday 18th July at the Split Willow in Llanfairfechan. Entertainment will take the form of Music Hall and anyone who feels they can offer a contribution should contact Nick Smith (nicholasrnsmith@aol.com) or Pat Greenhill (patty43@btinternet.com - 01492 516463).  Strawberries, cream and shortbread and of course tea/coffee will be included in the entrance fee of £2.00.  Let's make this a bumper event, raising even more than usual for our designated charity.  Contributions of shortbread, raffle prizes, plants and cakes - would be very much appreciated.

WORTH KNOWING
Members may well be aware, but it's worth knowing, that both the Cambrian Railway (west coast of Wales) and the Heart of Wales Line (Shrewsbury to Swansea) are free from October to March for people with a Welsh bus pass.
