As you may be aware Dave Faulkner died last week. He was an active member of the u3a committee and Drama Group and will be missed by many of us.
Although we do not yet have all the details, his family have let us know that his funeral will be on Thursday April 16th. This is the date we planned to hold our Spring Lunch.
Many will want to attend the service; the committee feel it is disrespectful to Dave's memory to go ahead with the lunch so regrettably we have cancelled it for this year.
Those who purchased tickets will be fully refunded by either Janet Dibble or Liz McGill as soon as possible.
We very much regret having to cancel and hope members understand we have lost a dear friend.
