GRATITUDE
Pat Greenhill would like to thank members for their lovely cards, letters and good wishes whilst she has been unwell.  It is very heart-warming to know that so many people care.
As I am still not fully recovered, I felt it only fair to tender my resignation as chair of Pen u3a – I wish the next chair and the u3a itself every success for the future.

T’other Walks
Wednesday 9th October
Dinas Emrys - Watkin Path – Llyn Dinas circular

A moderate 9 km (6.5 miles), varied, circular walk. Starting at Craflwyn Hall, we soon reach the remains of a wooded, rocky Iron Age hilIfort associated with legends of King Arthur, Vortigern and Merlin, and then proceed slowly up graded tracks and footpaths over moorland that afford fine views, before descending down the lower part of the Watkin Path, taking optional refreshments at the Caffi Gwynant, with a final half circuit of Llyn Dinas. Total height gain 320 m.
Park at the National Trust Craflwyn Hall car park (free to members) at 9.45 for a 10 am start. Car sharing is advisable and I suggest meeting at the layby along the A470 just north of the entrance to the Welsh Food Centre at 9 am where cars can be sorted out.
Please bring a picnic lunch, snacks and drinks. This walk will be weather dependent. Please phone the leader, Allan Brandon 07902 429773, the night before should the walk have to be cancelled.
